Golf On The Moon
On the lighter side of golf I saw a question like this. Why do golf balls travel faster on the moon?
Well I hope this question came from a child because the answer is pretty obvious. Anyway I really want to know where the person is going to use the information they receive about this question – are they going to the moon anytime soon?
Anyway like a good citizen I’ll answer that question.
During the Apollo 14 astronaut Alan Shepard hit two golf balls on the surface, I’ll bet that was a trip to be able to hit a ball so easily so far.
Why do golf balls travel farther, than on earth?
Answer: There is less gravity on the moon, allowing the ball to travel farther and do not fall directly to the floor floor.
Where is less gravity when I’m wanting to hit a 400 yar shot? Guess I’ll have to settle for improving my game.
