Golf Higher or Lower Loft Shots

How can I adjust my shot to make the golf Ball lift higher and or lower?

If you’re attempting to hit a golf shot that has to go high to clear an object or sow that it will not roll as much when it hits the ground, and still get the distance you desire without using a higher loft club, then put the ball forward in your stance.

The placement of the golf ball can increase or decrease the ball trajectory. To obtain a lower driven shot you should place the golf ball further back in your stance. To obtain a higher loftier driven shot place the ball forward in your stance. You’ll need to practice at the driving range to know how far back or forward to place the ball.

When you swing and hit the ball with it placed forward in your stance the ball will carry higher because you will be swing up through the ball. When you swing and hit the ball with the ball being placed more backward in your stance the ball will carry lower because you are hitting either down on the ball or straight through the ball.

It’s natural to place the ball either forward or backwards in your stance and professionals do it all the time. However if you are not so adept at changing your shot from what the club is designed to do then simply go up or down in angle when choosing a club to get that great shot you’re looking for.

If you need to hit a ball higher or lower than the clubs normal intended trajectory then you’re probably thinking too much about little things. Go out and practice the swing and gripping and stance that you’ve learned and go out and have fun!
